Christmas Tree
To make an unusual Christmas tree, you will need:
- Make a cone from Whatman paper or cardboard, depending on the planned size of the Christmas tree;
- Carefully cover the cone with burlap and trim any excess;
- Allow to dry for 5 minutes;
- The item can be decorated by gluing beads, ribbons, fringe, or buttons around it or in a random order, all depending on your imagination and possibilities;
- The top should be decorated with a small Christmas tree ornament or a large button.
New Year's Star
To make this important New Year's attribute, you should prepare: cardboard, glue, twine, and decorations. The star-making scheme is as follows:
- Draw a star of the desired size on cardboard and cut it out;
- Wrap the cut-out shape with twine;
- Secure the ends of the twine with glue;
- The item can be decorated with small beads or buttons.
Burlap Wreath
Burlap is a very practical material. The scraps left over after making the Christmas tree can be used for a wreath. Making a wreath is quite simple:
- Cut the burlap into short strips, not necessarily of the same size;
- Cut a circle of the desired shape from cardboard;
- Cut a hole of the desired size in the center of the circle;
- Glue the burlap scraps to the base; the more scraps, the more voluminous the wreath will be.
