On November 9-10, the Kite brand sponsored the all-Ukrainian autumn dance competition, The Challenge Dance & Vocal. The event took place in Kyiv. The jury members included stars of Ukrainian show business:
- Vlad Yama – incredibly creative and vibrant, Ukrainian dancer, judge of TV projects "Everybody Dance!", "Ukraine's Got Talent", "Dancing with the Stars" and "Model XL", jury member of "Liga Smikhu";
- Olena Shoptenko – two-time world champion in ballroom dancing among youth under 21 in 2006, Ukrainian champion in ten dances among youth under 21 in 2007, winner of the Ukrainian project "Dancing with the Stars";
- Dmytro Hrek – national judge of Hip Hop International Ukraine, founder of the "Inside" dance center in Chernihiv, choreographer-director of contemporary choreography;
- Eugene Kulakovskyi – founder and head of Dside Dance Studio, President of the Hip Hop International Ukraine dance organization;
- Tsibulska Yana – famous dancer and choreographer, participant of the TV project "Dancing with the Stars", teacher at Dside Dance Studio, choreographer in projects: "The Voice of the Country", "The Voice Kids", "Varyaty", founder and choreographer of the dance team "Ladies Squad";
- Plotnikova Iryna – leading teacher, laureate of international choreography competitions;
- Natalia Medvedeva – senior lecturer, vocal coach for projects: "Star Factory", "Telesirka-Supersirka", "People's Star", "Junior Eurovision";
- Nina Kolesnykova – artist, ballet dancer, choreographer for projects: "The Voice of the Country", "The Voice Kids", "Dancing with the Stars".
Special guests were invited, such as MamaRika – a trendy Ukrainian R'n'B artist, embodying passion, lust for life, and adventure.
During the championship, master classes and workshops were held. On November 10, a workshop was led by Washington Salles – a dancer and winner of the biggest battles among professional and strongest house dancers.
Competition program:
- November 9: vocal and dance in the following categories: Vocal / Contemporary / Jazz Modern Day.
- November 10: dance in the Hip Hop category.
The organizers added new cool features for participants and modernized the judging approach. A huge 10-meter screen was installed to allow for complementing the idea or revealing the plot of a performance using video/photos on the screen for creating spectacular productions.
It was very difficult to choose the winners because all participants were incredibly talented! This championship will definitely be remembered as the most massive. In total, over 14,000 people participated, along with coaches and support groups.
The winners of the Best Challenge Show received cash prizes, gift certificates, personalized diplomas, and gifts from the Kite brand.
