The division of pens into ballpoint, gel, and oil-based is conditional. This tradition is deeply rooted in our everyday language. But, in fact, all of them write thanks to a ballpoint mechanism. And calling an oil-based or gel pen a ballpoint pen would not be a mistake. They differ in the composition and consistency of their ink. Which pen should a first-grader buy?
