Thermoses Kite

Thermos – is an indispensable assistant for maintaining the temperature of drinks. It allows you to enjoy hot tea or coffee in cold weather or cool lemonade in the heat. Kite thermoses are ideal for school, work, travel and outdoor activities. This is a guarantee of comfort and energy at any time.

The modern vacuum thermos was invented by the Scottish physicist and chemist Sir James Dewar in 1892.

He originally created it for his scientific experiments to store liquefied gases, calling it a "Dewar vessel."

In 1904 German glassblower Reinhold Burger improved the invention for domestic use by adding an external metal casing, and patented it under the trademark "Thermos".

A thermos works by minimizing heat exchange with the environment. Its key element is a double flask with a vacuum between the walls.

Vacuum (emptiness): Virtually eliminates heat transfer through conduction and convection.

Mirror surface of the bulb: Reflects thermal (infrared) radiation, keeping the heat inside (or cold).

Thus, the thermos "blocks" all three main methods of heat transfer, maintaining the original temperature of the contents for as long as possible.

The main difference is the purpose and time of temperature retention:

Thermos Kite: Designed for storing large volumes of drinks/food for a long time (up to 9-24 hours). Has a sealed cup lid (often with a valve) and a narrow neck.

Kite thermo mug: Designed for quick drinks on the go. Maintains moderate temperature (2-6 hours). Has a spill-proof lid with a convenient drinking hole and a wide mouth.

A thermos mug is more compact for everyday use in the car or office, while a thermos is ideal for hiking and long trips.

Kite thermoses typically consist of the following elements:

Corps: Most often made of stainless steel for strength and protection.

Inner bulb: Made of stainless steel, which is a safer, stronger, and more hygienic choice than glass.

Vacuum space: The space between the outer casing and the inner bulb from which the air has been evacuated.

Cork/Lid: Ensures a leak-proof seal. Often has a silicone seal and a pouring valve.

Cup-lid: An outer lid that doubles as a cup for convenience.

1. It is recommended to wash the thermos with a mild detergent and use a brush to clean the inside.
2. To prevent the formation of dark stains after using colored drinks, it is recommended to pour boiling water with dissolved baking soda inside for a few minutes. Stains from tea and coffee may not disappear on the first attempt at washing, but they do not have a negative impact on the quality of the product.
3. Wash and wipe the product only with delicate, soft sponges or cloths to avoid scratches.
   Use brushes to clean pipes or hard-to-reach places.
4. When washing, do not forget to disconnect the seal on the plug. But after drying, install it in place.

Not recommended as it may damage the vacuum layer or outer coating.
