My Little Pony is an animated series about friendship and miracles set in a fantasy world inhabited by ponies. The series was based on a series of toys produced by the American company Hasbro since 1981. Little girls liked the toy ponies with long manes, as they were different from ordinary dolls, with them you could invent new games, send them on imaginary adventures. The series premiered in 2010, with the advent of a new generation of dolls. Today, it is broadcast in dozens of countries in more than twenty languages, and new episodes are expected to be released in 2018.
The fascinating world of the animated series " My Little Pony: Friendship is a Miracle " is adapted for young children and helps to develop their imagination. The country in which ponies, as well as other animals and fantastic creatures live, is called Equestria (from the Latin equus - horse). All ponies inhabiting Equestria can be divided into several types:
- Earth ponies - ordinary ponies. They are very hardworking and much closer to nature than the others. They are mainly engaged in agriculture.
- Pegasuses are ponies with wings. They can fly and walk on clouds. Their vocation is weather control.
- Unicorns are ponies endowed with a magic horn that allows them to cast spells. They have telekinesis from birth, but can also learn other types of magic.
- Alicorns are one of a kind: they have both wings and a horn. They combine the qualities of all types of ponies and also have unique, mystical abilities.
When ponies grow up, they receive "marks" that show their special talent or purpose in life.

In 2017, ponies appeared on the big screen with the release of a full-length animated musical fantasy film based on the animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship is a Miracle".

Princess Celestia is a smart and kind ruler of Equestria. Together with her sister, Princess Luna, she makes the sun and moon rise and set every day from her castle in Canterlot, to the delight of all the inhabitants of Equestria.
Storm is a unicorn from Equestria who has lost her way and lost her magic. She is angry and feels betrayed by her friends, so she teams up with King Storm and is tasked with tracking down and capturing the Big Six. If she succeeds, she will get her magic back.

My Little Pony: A New Generation is a computer animated film of the My Little Pony (Hasbro) media franchise released in 2021. The bright film enchantingly combines such genres as comedy, musical, fantasy and adventure. The film is set in a fantasy land inhabited by amazing creatures: ponies, pegasus, alicorns and unicorns.
The era of the New Generation is different from the old way of traditional Equestria. In the new times, there is no magic anymore, and the story of the canonical four magical ponies has acquired the status of an ancient legend. The cartoon's fantastic characters (pegasi, unicorns and land animals) have inhabited different areas. There are many prejudices and misunderstandings between them.
